Also, because The ONE Application is simply another medium for clients to submit applications, it can be easily integrated and, for the most part, much easier to manage than paper applications. Because The ONE Application uses the current application format that intake workers are already familiar with, the need for retraining is minimized.
This is a common misconception about online portals for state government services. Because The ONE Application's screening tool is tailored to each individual program it can be changed on the fly if too many ineligible applications are received. Also, any agency's application can be deactivated or activated as needed if there are periods of closed enrollment.
Data can be extracted via an XML web service available via The ONE Application. After extraction, the XML data can then be integrated into any number of available databases.
Yes. This feature is currently being tested and will be available in November 2007.
Yes. Each client creates a confidential account to manage their own information and applications. Whether they need to stop during the application process and return later, or want to submit new applications, their responses are saved in the database and will be available when they return.
The client is in control at all times as to where their information is sent and no client information is shared without their permission. Client data is encrypted in transit between The ONE Application and the web browser. Furthermore, encryption techniques are used in the background to ensure that data is still protected from unauthorized access.
No. All that is needed by The ONE Application is an electronic PDF copy of your program’s current application. The ONE Application uses the current application format that intake workers are already familiar with, which also minimizes the need for retraining.
For the most part, the look and feel of The ONE Application can be modified to fit in with existing state web sites. However, the layout of the web pages (menus, main content, etc.) usually remains the same.
